History of Roses
Shauna Moore, Rosarian from Colonial Park, Somerset County Park Commission, will give a presentation on the "History of the Rose".
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet:. - "A rose is a rose is a rose:, these two wel-lknown phrases exemplify the universality of the rose. Used in heraldry, war, poetry, novels, decorative arts, and so forth. The rose shows its versatility in a wide range of interests and symbols. The development of the rose into a myriad of cultivars has expanded its use, sepecially in gardening and creating stunning displays.
Our meetings are open to the public. Meeting starts at 9:45 am, speaker 11:00 am, coffee and dessert will be served at noon. You are welcome to bring a bag lunch.

"House Plants" by Leslie Dempsey
Leslie goes into customers' homes & takes care of their plants. She is familiar with and can diiagnose many types of problems. You will enjoy Leslie's humor as she gives examples of many common mistakes made by house plant owners. Bring along your troubled plant for a diagnosis by Leslie.
Lunch will be provided by club members.
This workshop fills up very quickly!
This workshop is open to the public, with pre-registration and a $30.00 donation, payable in advance. The club provides instruction and all materials to create one of several holiday arrangements.
